In parts of Texas, like in many other growing cities in the United States, areas are dealing with a water scarcity issue due to increased usage, drought, climate change and population trends. Simply put, agencies have to go farther away to find that next gallon of water than they had to in the past. The result is a requirement for longer pipelines.

On CBC Newsworld today the CBC's reporter, Paul Hunter, said "About half the Afghans turned and fled, so there's clearly some work to be done see box at right in link below]." But now he's rather changed the words he uses in print--see bolded bit below. When a so-called mainstream news organization attacks a Blog for accepting ads...when it does not accept ads...and for being supportive of a candidate...when it has never promoted any candidate...and the so-called news organization didn't bother to do that thing that journalists are supposed to do...ASK...then you've got to wonder..

A special operations staff noncommissioned officer has died in Afghanistan. Staff Sgt. Edgar A. Heredia, 28, of Houston died Thursday of wounds he sustained in combat in Farah province. The death marks the continuation of a violent trend in Afghanistan. At least 45 international troops were killed in Afghanistan in June.
